Marmalade Books began as a project to support students transitioning to secondary school in the middle of the Covid 19 pandemic.
The first two books in the "How to Hate High School" series were written to empower students to take control of their learning experience as a way to capitalize on their school success. After reading the first two books in the series and recognizing that the strategies would be just as successful with adults, a representative of Toronto company approached Melanie about producing a little book for employees struggling with the transition of working from home.
Now with four books completed, Marmalade Books has continued to create resources and products to support and encourage teachers and students to be their best selves. There are a number of books and products still in the works, and Melanie continues to explore ways to support and recognize the amazing work that teachers and students do each day.
Like Marmalade, our goal is to spread ideas that are a little sweet, might have a bit of tang, and that will hopefully stick.
